Company Background
-
GameRun is an AI-powered sports development company that helps athletes get better, faster, through high-quality video analysis and coaching feedback. Our flagship product, GameRunIQ, turns short training or game clips into clear, actionable insights that athletes, parents, and coaches can understand and use immediately. It also provides drills. We focus on to high-quality feedback that helps athletes improve, enjoy their sport, and stay in the game longer.
Beyond just sports organizations, GameRun envisions becoming an infrastructure company so that people can code to our API. We have extensive in-bound requests, particularly from healthcare, entertainment and sports betting entities that would like to use our technology.
-
GameRun was founded in August of 2024, inspired by two realities:
• Elite coaching is rare, expensive, and unevenly distributed.
• AI and computer vision had finally matured enough to provide meaningful, sportspecific insights from video.
As parents, former athletes, and technologists, we saw kids and families spending time and money on sports without getting clear, objective feedback. GameRun was created to close that gap.
-
We set out to solve the “feedback gap” in sports:
• Most athletes don’t get regular, detailed, individualized feedback.
• Coaches are stretched thin and can’t deeply analyze every athlete’s reps.
• Parents are investing heavily but often don’t know what’s improving.
GameRunIQ gives every athlete access to high-level technical feedback, while freeing coaches to focus on having the heart of the team, building culture, strategy, and relationships.

Product & Services
-
The core product is GameRunIQ or GRIQ, an AI-powered video analysis service. Athletes, parents, or coaches upload short clips (e.g., a swing, pitch, shot, or goalie play), and GameRunIQ returns a structured breakdown: what happened, what needs work, and what concrete adjustments to make. It is designed to be fast, sport-specific, and easy for nonexperts to understand.
-
Step 1: Capture & Upload
• The athlete or coach records a short video clip on a phone (e.g., one at-bat, a pitch, a shot, or a goalie sequence).
• The clip is uploaded through the GameRunIQ interface
• The athlete enters her or his height, weight, skill level, etc.
Step 2: Extraction & Event Understanding• The AI analyzes the video
Step 3: Delivery to the User
• The user receives a results report and video summarizing: o What the athlete is doing well, o What the athlete needs to improve, and o suggested practice focus or drills.
• Over time, multiple analyses can be compared to show progress.
• GameRun is building a dashboard soon to be released so that the athlete can monitor their progress
-
Currently supported for short-clip analysis:
• Baseball – hitting and pitching
• Soccer – with an early focus on goalkeepers and strikers
• Ice Hockey – 15 minute clips of a game

Over time, our goal is to support a broad range of team and individual sports where mechanics and decision-making can be captured on video.
-
Our primary users are colleges, clubs, academies, tournament organizers, camp organizers and leagues that cannot provide detailed written analysis for all their athletes. We also work with professional organizations on pilots and integrations to support their player development and camps.
-
• Short-clip and close to real-time analysis – We’re built to handle short, everyday clips from a phone, not from high-end camera systems or wearables
• Coach-first design – Our AI is trained by elite coaches and is built to complement, not replace, human coaching.
• Actionable, simple feedback – We don’t just show metrics; we provide a qualitative explanation in plain language about what the athlete is good at and how to improve
• Accessibility – No special hardware, no massive post-production; just a phone, a clip, and clear feedback.
AI Technology
-
AI is at the core of GameRunIQ. It:
• Sees and tracks movement in the video,
• Identifies patterns and mechanics that matter for performance, and
• Translates those patterns into understandable coaching points.
-
Our analysis pipeline is based on computer vision. We use a combination of specialized models, mainly Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for object detection and Vision Transformers for complex action recognition. These models handle the main pose estimation and motion tracking of players and the ball. We then use a library of SLM to interpret data from these vision models and generate human-readable summaries and insights. The data is further refined into clear English, utilizing one of several public models.
-
We process far too many videos for a coach or other expert to verify, but our expert coaches that train the AI evaluate the quality of the feedback in a statistically significant manner.
-
They are constantly updated and trained. The process is iterative where the professional and Olympic coaches are continuously analyzing the output. We have professional and Olympic coaches that have been training our models for over 18 months.
Data, Privacy & Safety
-
GameRun takes athlete data privacy very seriously. In line with legal requirements for protecting children’s data—such as COPPA in the U.S. that mandates privacy safeguards for children under 13—GameRun does not share athlete data with third parties. We have a clear policy on our website that underscores our commitment to keeping all athlete information private and secure. In general, we ensure that all data is used solely for the purpose of delivering personalized feedback and is always kept confidential.

Strategy & Vision
-
GameRun’s mission is to democratize elite coaching—to give every athlete, regardless of where they live, access to high-quality feedback that helps them improve, enjoy their sport, and stay in the game longer.
-
Our long-term vision is that:
• Every athlete has an AI coach in their pocket that works alongside human coaches.
• AI handles the repetitive, objective analysis—freeing humans to focus on leadership, mindset, and connection. • Development becomes more transparent and data-informed, reducing bias and opening doors for talented players who might otherwise be overlooked all over the world.
-
Over the next 12 months, our goals include:
• Scaling GameRunIQ usage across existing partners
• Demonstrating measurable impact on athlete development and coach efficiency with more clear, shareable case studies in each sport.
-
A platform where millions of athletes can see, track, and celebrate their improvement over time—using data and feedback that genuinely help them grow.
Media-Ready Statements
-
AI will never replace the heart of coaching. GameRunIQ is designed to serve coaches, not replace them. We handle the frame-by-frame breakdowns so coaches can spend more time on what only humans can do—building trust, teaching resilience, and leading teams. Think of us as extra assistant coaches who never get tired of watching videos and giving the coaches feedback.
-
GameRunIQ doesn’t make mysterious decisions behind closed doors. It looks at video the way a great coach would—frame by frame—and then explains what it sees in clear language. People are always in control: you can keep, ignore, or discuss any suggestion. Our goal is not to judge athletes, but to give them one more helpful voice pointing them toward improvement.
-
One of the biggest misconceptions about GameRun is that people often assume it’s just another ChatGPT or other large language model. In reality, GameRun is built on a completely diWerent, highly specialized technology. We have a patent-pending system that’s been developed by experts in visual and small language models specifically for the world of sports. It’s not just a generic AI; it’s a unique tool trained with the input of top-level coaches and tailored specifically for athletic development. In short, it’s not something easily replicated, and it’s definitely not just another chatbot—it’s a unique approach to AI coaching. GameRun very much cares about athlete development and we are genuinely grateful for the opportunity to work with athletes around the world.
